www-movies32-online, previously known as Watch32, emerged as one of the internet’s most popular hubs for illegally streaming and downloading movies. However, the site’s extensive piracy led to its inevitable demise.
Offering Unlimited Films
Launched in 2011, Movies32 billed itself as a platform for unlimited ad-free access to new movie releases.
The site offered an extensive catalog spanning Hollywood blockbusters, Bollywood hits, major Asian cinema, adult movies and more. Millions flocked to Movies32 daily for its giant selection and ability to instantly stream or download films.
At its peak, Movies32 saw over 50 million monthly visitors seeking free access to the latest cinema. But it operated entirely via brazen copyright infringement.
Enabling and Profiting from Piracy
Virtually every title on Movies32 was a pirated copy uploaded without studio consent and shared illegally. By facilitating access and downloads, Movies32 caused major losses for the film industry.
Despite extensive litigation efforts, Movies32 persisted across shifting domains and hosts to evade authorities. But it could not escape justice forever.
Forced Shutdown After Prolonged Legal Battle
By 2017, movie studios succeeded in getting Movies32 completely blocked across India and other regions, crippling its operations. Unable to stay viable, the site went offline permanently.
While immensely popular for a time, Movies32 represented the excesses of digital movie piracy. Despite its evasion efforts, the site proved unsustainable built entirely on intellectual property theft.
