There’s absolutely no doubt in the fact that Trello is one of the best project management software that lets you organize all of your content in the form of lists and boards. It’s easy to use software and on top of everything, it’s free which is why currently, millions of people are using it.
Now, if you are here today, it’s obvious that you use this platform too and you are new to it which is why you want to know how to delete a card in trello. Well, if that’s the case then don’t worry because today we are here to explain how to archive and delete cards both on Trello.
Archiving and deleting cards
Archiving Cards
Head to the card’s back and there you’ll see this Action Menu with the option of “Archive Card”. You can also select “Archive” on the card menu and as a shortcut key, use “C” while hovering on a particular card that you want to hide temporarily.
Unarchiving cards
Head to the board menu and then click on “More”. Once done, you can then see the option of “Archived items”. That’s where all of your archived cards will be. In order to unarchive a card just click on it and then click on “Send back to board”.
Deleting Cards
In order to delete a card, you’ll have to achieve it first. We’ve told you how to archive a card and when you do that, you’ll automatically see the option of “Delete”. One thing you should know is that deleting a card from trello means it will be unrecoverable and you won’t be able to undo it. No matter what you do, you cannot restore the deleted card which is why Trello always asks for confirmation if you really want to delete a card from your board.
Our suggestion here is that if you just want a card gone from your board, it would be better if you just archive it and don’t delete it. This way, in case you ever need that card, you can easily bring it back on your board by unarchiving it.
Note: Trello doesn’t delete an archived card until you do that yourself. You can leave a card archived for as long as you want to.
This is how you can delete a card on Trello and we hope this information was helpful for you. Do let us know what you think!
