You may have noticed that posts have slowed down a bit lately. Well, put the blame on … Brandie … boys (yeah, it doesn’t work the same when Rita Hayworth’s not cooing it). Things have been a little busier than usual lately, but we should be back on our regular pace next week. In the meantime, thanks in large part to Nikki and Carrie, we’ve kept our Saturday Morning Cartoons series rolling along, which will continue tomorrow with Carrie’s take on Aladdin (1992)–so don’t miss it!
Speaking of next week … True Classics is participating in the Movies of 1939 Blogathon hosted by CMBA (and put together by the tireless duo of Page and Becky). As I’ve mentioned before, I’ll be contributing a post on the film Golden Boy. Check back on Monday to see our entry, and don’t forget to blog-hop around and see ALL of the wonderful posts being submitted by CMBA members (the whole shindig begins on Sunday)!
Also, my post from March about some of the forgotten female silent film directors has been posted over at MovieFanFare! Yay! Go check it out!
Finally, the list of totally awesome bloggers who have signed up to participate in the “Loving Lucy” Blogathon on August 6th is growing! If you’d like to add your name to this rather illustrious list, leave a comment or email us at trueclassicsblog (at) gmail dot com. And I’ll be posting new, prettier banners sometime in the next couple of weeks, God and time management permitting, so check back if you’d like to snag one for your site.
Have a simply marvelous weekend, kids.
