Here comes the bride.

Now brides can wear dresses inspired by their favorite Disney princesses, old and new. Check out this preview of the Disney Fairy Tale Weddings line by Alfred Angelo, debuting early next year.

I’m not the type of girl to sit around and dream about my perfect wedding, but I think I just fell a little bit in love with the Snow White dress–it’s my favorite of the bunch. The Cinderella, Belle, and Sleeping Beauty gowns are also pretty, though each of them is a little too poofy for my taste. The Tiana gown is not my personal style, but it looked damn gorgeous on the model. And I have to say, I don’t particularly care for the Ariel dress or the Jasmine gown; the former is too fussy (and I don’t like the bottom half AT ALL), and the latter too shiny.

What do you think? I like the idea of drawing inspiration from a classic look (I’d take my entire wardrobe from The Thin Man or the entirety of Grace Kelly’s closet, if I could), but is this concept just a bit too … precious?

  1. I love the Cinderella and Belle gowns myself but the Snow White one is pretty too. I agree about the Tiana, Ariel, and Jasmine dresses, but then, I like a bit of a meringue to quote Four Weddings and a Funeral.
As for classic film wardrobes I’d steal, I love many of the dresses Audrey Hepburn wears in Sabrina and Grace Kelly always looked classy.
